My name is Florian, and I grew up in France, near Bordeaux. After my M.Sc. in mathematics and statistics, I decided to pursue a Ph.D. in machine learning and astrophysics at OIST. And that was one of the best decisions in my life! During my research, I developed new machine learning algorithms to better understand how planetary systems form and evolve. I also worked on data imputation methods, that is how to deal with missing values in datasets. My academic journey has been shaped by a strong interest in machine learning and AI, which led me to continue working in this field. Currently, I am doing machine learning research at Sony AI, where I focus on gastronomy related projects (food, taste, and smell). Outside of work, I enjoy running, hiking, and cycling across Japan. I also like playing video games, and I am a big fan of Pokémon.
The registration is closed as the event has reached full capacity. Should you like to attend the session, please contact admissions@oist.jp.
