Do you think you made a good decision by coming to OIST?

I think I'm glad I came to OIST, frankly. But that's not a very simple emotion. After all, there are hard times, but everything is mixed, and as a result of looking back on everything, you can finally have a positive opinion, yes.

What messages do you have for students that are looking into coming to OIST in the future, what kind of person would you recommend it to?

I think it is good for students who are looking for something bold but at the same time careful in their risk taking. I feel OIST is good for people who have a foundation of prudence but are still willing to do something a little different, a little adventurous even.

Was this your first job hunting experience?

No, I did it when I was an undergraduate. I failed all of it (laughs). I was turned down by all of them. I focused all of my job hunt on research related fields but failed all of them. Despite the failure, I felt that rather than something being wrong with me, I failed because there were a lot of people like me. So I decided to add more value to myself as a person. First of all, I wanted to be able to speak English at a professional level, plus I wanted to add more expertise to my experiences so I am grateful for an institution like OIST.
